CARAVOULIAS SCORES 1,000th CAREER POINT
Brad Caravoulias made a permanent mark in the Lasell College mens basketball record books on Thursday evening as he became the ninth Laser in program history to record 1,000 points. Caravoulias was just two points away from the milestone as he entered Thursdays GNAC conference matchup with Rivier College. Caravoulias tallied his points on his first shot of the game, drilling a three pointer to score his 1,000th and 1,0001st career points.

points. Caravoulias was just two points away from the
milestone as he entered Thursday's GNAC conference matchup with
Rivier College. Caravoulias tallied his points on his
first shot of the game, drilling a three pointer to score his
1,000th and 1,0001st career points.
Caravoulias, a 6'5" senior captain and guard from Dracut, Massachusetts, has been a major contributor to the Lasers' men's basketball team for the past three seasons, and continues to prove his worth in his final year. He has started in 53 of his last 63 games for Lasell, including all six contests this season, and has played in 89 total games throughout his career.
Over the course of his career so far, Caravoulias has amassed 1,009 total points, shooting a .427 career field goal percentage. He has connected on 219 three pointers, shooting 39% from behind the arc and has also dished out 134 assists in his career, making him 10th in all-time assists at Lasell.
During the 2007-2008 season, Caravoulias completed the year ranked 2nd in the GNAC and 38th nationally in NCAA Division III statistics for 3-point field goals made (85 total) and 3-point field goals per game (averaging 2.93), as well as being ranked 12th in the GNAC and 65th nationally for 3-point field goal percentage (.394). Caravoulias' career high came on December 9th, 2007 when he scored 28 points against Johnson State College, in a 106-82 victory.
This season, Caravoulias is averaging 14.5 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game. He is shooting 47.4% from downtown and 42.7% overall in field goal percentage. He produced a season high against Western Connecticut State University in which he scored 22 points, and picked up another 18 points and 3 rebounds against tenth ranked Amherst College.
The Lasers currently hold a 3-3 overall record this season and, as the reigning GNAC Champions, are 1-0 in the league, having beaten the Raiders on Thursday night.
