WOMENS VOLLEYBALL DEFEATED BY BABSON
The Babson College Beavers were the victors in Thursday nights non-conference volleyball match against the Lasell Lasers. The Beavers took the match 3-0, bumping their record to 15-10, and leaving the Lasers with a 9-17 overall record.
The Babson College Beavers were the victors in Thursday night's non-conference volleyball match against the Lasell Lasers. The Beavers took the match 3-0, bumping their record to 15-10, and leaving the Lasers with a 9-17 overall record.
The Lasers came out to a 12-5 lead before the Beavers rallied back on a 12-5 run, tying the score at 17. The teams went point for point, until 21-21, when the Beavers went on a 4-1 run to close the first set 25-22. Babson completed the match in the next two sets 25-17 and 25-11.
Senior captain Kelsey Schmidt (Ballston Spa, NY) and freshman Danielle Drapeau (Biddeford, ME) were strong in the middle for the Lasers, combining for ten kills throughout the match. Nicole Wetterman (Dighton, MA) threw in an addition 4 kills for the Lasers attack.
Junior Amanda Major (Southbury, CT) recorded 12 digs for the Lasers, and Meghan Crozier (Ballston Spa, NY) once again came up with double digits in assists and digs, logging 15 assists and 10 dug balls.
The Lasers finish their regular season on Saturday, Nov. 1st at Rivier College. The Lasers will participate in the tri-match with Rivier and Simmons at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
